Did Naughty Dog's Josh Scherr accidentally fulfill all of our wishes and confirm a sequel to The Last of Us?
During a livestream with community strategist Eric Monacello, writer Josh Scherr, and lead animator Eric Baldwin, the conversation of Uncharted lead to a Last of Us mention, in the form of "the first The Last of Us," indicating a second The Last of Us is existing at Naughty Dog, as caught by Gamepur.
"All of the facial animation in the Uncharted series was led up by Eric [Monacelli] here," Scherr started with, before saying, "and on the first The Last of Us... Uh, did I say the first The Last of Us?," and getting completely baffled by the potential slip-up and calling a lot more attention to it, adding, "the first Last of Us. The Last of Us. The first Last of Us. The Last of Us was also keyframe animation."
You be the judge.
What do you think? Did Scherr accidentally spill the beans of Naughty Dog working on a sequel to what is arguably the best game ever, The Last of Us? Where would you like to see the story go in the second The Last of Us?
