When the weekend hits, I typically see it as a time to not do work. Play some games, catch-up on some missed TV shows, maybe binge-watch a few seasons of Night Court, that kind of thing.

For Indiana teacher Rorie Lizenby, things are a bit different. She decided to take an unfinished room and create a Nintendo themed entertainment hub for her kids, and the results are quite inspiring.

First she painted the outline of the area and the accompanying walls, painted all the buttons, and even build a D-Pad complete with arrow indents. After leaving a space for the 42' TV, she then bought a cabinet that had a similar shape to the NES and painted it to match. She even added the power buttons and small red light. It's quite impressive, and she did it all in about two weeks while still working her full-time job.

You can see the process of how she put it all together in the gallery.
