Three Stooges Sequel In The Works

A sequel to 2012's The Three Stooges is in the works, with Sean Hayes, Chris Diamantopoulos, and Will Sasso set to reprise their respective roles as Larry, Moe, and Curly.

The sequel will be written by Cameron Fay (Brother-In-Laws). The first film was directed by Peter and Bobby Farrelly. No word on their returning for the sequel.

The original film brought in $54.8 million, a modest return on its $30m budget. This time, the studio plans to add an action star to the cast to draw some attention.

The original Three Stooges were a slapstick vaudeville act that became popular via film shorts produced by Columbia Pictures. Those shorts remain in syndication, extending the trio's legacy well beyond their own time.
