02/24/2015 03:35 pm EST
At the 87th Academy Awards, Viola Davis ("How To Get Away With Murder") confirmed to CTV's eTalk that she will play Amanda Waller in David Ayer's Suicide Squad. Waller is the fearless, no-nonsense leader of the villains-to-heroes group.
ETalk asked Davis if she'll be in Toronto this summer to shoot Suicide Squad. She nodded several times and then replied, "Yes." Her husband Julius Tennon actually confirms it before she can. After she made it official he enthusiastically shouts, "Amanda Waller is in the house!" It's a cute moment.
Watch the video below to listen to her and her husband's responses.
Suicide Squad will land in theaters Aug. 5, 2016.
