In just a few months, anime fans will have a slew of series returning to their TV sets, and one of them will be Attack on Titan. The critically acclaimed series is one of the better-known anime titles around the world, and its popularity has only grown over the past few years. Despite being on a hiatus, Attack on Titan has kept fans engaged, and now the folks behind the anime are treating fans to some special gifts.

Over on Twitter, an animator working on Attack on Titan season two have shared some stunning art of Eren Yeager. The action animation director posted a black-and-white image of Eren dressed in his scouting gear while a profile photo of his Titan form stands in the background. Fans have flooded the artist's social media with compliments in all sorts of languages, and netizens are already starting to dissect the image for possible clues about upcoming episodes.

Of course, this has been a big week for Attack on Titan - and it is not just because of this exclusive artwork. Not long ago, reports began surfacing that Warner Bros. was wanting to secure live-action rights to Attack on Titan. While Kodansha Comics has since said those reports were incorrect, fans are now weight the pros of cons of seeing a Hollywood adaptation of the gritty dystopian drama.

If you are not familiar with Attack on Titan, then you should know the popular anime is renowned for its intense action and gritty storylines. The anime follows a boy named Eren Yeager in an alternate world overrun by massive creatures known as Titans. These mindless beasts have all but wiped out humanity, and mankind is left to cower in fear behind massive walls. When their sanctum is infiltrated by a slew of Titans, Eren and his friends Armin and Mikasa join the military to help eradicate the blood-thirty monsters. But, as they grow older, they learn that the beasts are not what they appear as long-held government conspiracies make themselves known.
