In just over a month, the wait for Attack on Titan's new season will come to an end. Wit Studio is slated to premiere the long-awaited season after a series of delays, and fans are more than ready to see Eren Jaeger get back into action. Of course, audiences have plenty of questions about the second season's high points, and the creators of Attack on Titan are trying to give answers when possible. In the latest issues of Newtype Magazine, the directors of the anime took time to speak about season two and even hinted at its must-see moments.

Director Koizuka Masashi sat down with Chief Director Araki Tetsuro to go over the anime's comeback. When the duo were asked about their take on the anime's highlights, the former had this to say:

"We will be exploring characters who didn't have key roles in the first season. Of course, we're doing our best to not create those scenes with solely exposition - we want to incorporate dialogue seamlessly into the overall theme of the story. Our staff implemented many techniques and used plenty of film to accomplish this," Koizuka said.

Araki continued, saying, "Whenever we see just how many rolls of film we used, even though the quantity is beyond frightening - the sight still makes everyone laugh. This is something one cannot experience outside of producing SnK. Once you calm down and observe everything again, it's as if like you're a third party witness to a phenomenon, and you can feel deeply grateful as well as think, "What an interesting situation…" When I consider the quality of what has been created, I feel like saying, "You must see it!" It's truly an incredible piece of work!"

Fans seem to resonate with Koizuka's promise of character exploration. The first season of Attack on Titan focused heavily on leads like Mikasa and Armin, but the anime's comeback will shift its eye to other Survey Corps members. Manga readers will already know which side characters to pay attention to, so fans should keep up with Ymir.
