Attack On Titan Gets The Honest Trailer Treatment

03/26/2017 04:00 pm EDT

The folks over at ScreenJunkies know what anime fans like - and they are more than happy to poke fun at the medium when need be. Over the years, anime has become a full-on entertainment beast which international audiences have grown fond of. However, in a matter of days, the anime fandom will find itself under attack when Wit Studio finally brings back Attack on Titan for its long-awaited second season.

So, naturally, ScreenJunkies is wanting to rib the gory franchise before its comeback gets into full swing.

To do just that, ScreenJunkies is delving into the world of anime in a big way. The company recently began a new Honest Trailers division dedicated to anime. So far, ScreenJunkies has tackled everything from Bleach to Sword Art Online. And, now, they are turning their eyes to Attack on Titan.

"Enter a dystopia where the world is ravaged by huge dickless nudist as soldiers fight to protect humanity by sacrificing life and limb - literally," the trailer starts.

The video goes on to describe Attack on Titan as the most realistic depiction of "body flesh monsters," but there is more to the show than just violence. As ScreenJunkies points out, Attack on Titan still finds some light moments with slice-of-life drama.

"Jeez," the preview laments. "I thought my puberty was rough."

Yeah, you might want to try telling that to Eren.

The entire trailer will be shared on ScreenJunkies exclusively on its plus channel. You can visit the service here and sign up for a free 7-day trial. If you already have the service, then you can check out the video here.

If you need a heads-up on what the company's new Honest Trailers subsect is doing, then you don't have to look any further. To celebrate its voyage into anime, ScreenJunkies recently made an honest trailer for Naruto - and the slapstick clip will make fans smile whilst they mourn the anime's recent end.

The synopsis for Attack on Titan's new season can be read below:

"Eren Jaeger swore to wipe out every last Titan, but in a battle for his life he wound up becoming the thing he hates most. With his new powers, he fights for humanity's freedom facing the monsters that threaten his home. After a bittersweet victory against the Female Titan, Eren finds no time to rest—a horde of Titans is approaching Wall Rose and the battle for humanity continues!"

Attack on Titan Season 2 will debut on April 1, 2017.
