Attack On Titan Season 2 Poster Released

Today, Attack on Titan fans will want to rejoice! In just a few months, the beloved anime will have its long-awaited comeback when it debuts its second season. Fans of the franchise have been waiting years to see Eren Jeager and his friends return to television, and it looks like their comeback will take place sooner rather than later. Funimation just announced they will be simulcasting Attack on Titan's new season starting April 1 - but that is not all!

No, the studio also decided to drop the first poster for Attack on Titan's second season to boot. And, as you can see, it features some very interesting characters.

In the image, fans can see Eren in the front looking more than irate. The boy has lost his Survey Corps uniform and is seen rearing back in his ripped undershirt and pants. However, it is the characters surrounded him that have fans curious. Instead of Mikasa and Armin being featured, four other Survey Corps members are show in full-force. Folks like Bertolt, Reiner, Krista, and Ymir are shown in headshots.

If you are a fan of the manga, then you will no doubt understand why the four characters are shown. In the manga, the "Clash of the Titans" arc focuses heavily on the characters as their pasts come to intersect with Eren's in a violent way.

If you are not familiar with Attack on Titan, then you should know the popular anime is renowned for its intense action and gritty storylines. The anime follows a boy named Eren Yeager in an alternate world overrun by massive creatures known as Titans. These mindless beasts have all but wiped out humanity, and mankind is left to cower in fear behind massive walls. When their sanctum is infiltrated by a slew of Titans, Eren and his friends Armin and Mikasa join the military to help eradicate the blood-thirty monsters. But, as they grow older, they learn that the beasts are not what they appear as long-held government conspiracies make themselves known.
