In just a few months, Attack on Titan will be breaking through all of humanity's walls to find its way back to television. The acclaimed anime is set to debut its second season in April, and fans cannot wait much longer for the series to make its return. Over on Instagram, the folks at Wit Studio are trying to make the wait a bit more bearable, but their latest post has only served to tantalize fans.

Not long ago, the animation studio shared a photo from their headquarters that showed off dozens of Attack on Titan animation cuts. The only problem is that the frames were all hidden in boxes, leaving fans desperate to see more of Eren and his Survey Corps posse. The official Attack on Titan Instagram showed off the stored animation cuts to get fans excited for the upcoming season and its looming premiere date.

For those of you who don't know about animation cuts, then you should know the pieces are the first step to making an anime. Before a show can debut, animators must sketch out animation cuts which block out characters and scenes before they are woven together into animated footage. In the released picture, just a slew of boxes are shown, but there are surely more frames hidden elsewhere within Wit Studio. Fans can see about 30 boxes, but Attack on Titan has enough action-packed battles and gory deaths to fill up those boxes and then some.

This is not the first behind-the-scenes teaser fans have gotten about Attack on Titan. A few weeks ago, the account shared a picture of Hajime Isayama at the studio holding up the script for the first episode of season two. The franchise's creator looked understandably excited to hold the precious document, and the photo caption let fans know that Isayama had come to oversee some dialogue recording for the upcoming season.

If you are not familiar with Attack on Titan, then you should know the popular anime is renowned for its intense action and gritty storylines. The anime follows a boy named Eren Yeager in an alternate world overrun by massive creatures known as Titans. These mindless beasts have all but wiped out humanity, and mankind is left to cower in fear behind massive walls. When their sanctum is infiltrated by a slew of Titans, Eren and his friends Armin and Mikasa join the military to help eradicate the blood-thirty monsters. But, as they grow older, they learn that the beasts are not what they appear as long-held government conspiracies make themselves known.
