New Attack On Titan 3DS Game Trailer Released

It's only two months into 2017, and the year is already shaping up to be a good one for Attack on Titan. The acclaimed franchise is slated to make a blustering comeback in April when a new season of its anime drops. As for its manga, Kodansha continues to publish Attack on Titan regularly, and the video game industry is also tapping into the franchise's charm. This year, a new Attack on Titan game is set to reach the Nintendo 3DS, and an intense trailer for the game just dropped.

Attack on Titan: Escape From the Brink of Death sounds as action-packed as it is. The game will feature an entirely new story featuring Eren and his Survey Corps comrades. The new trailer features snippets of the game's story which is said to unexpectedly deepen the bonds between the scouting crew.

When it comes to the game's story, Attack on Titan is going dark. The original tale places the gamer into the franchise's world as a member of the Survey Corps. The player is sent to investigate a castle outside of humanity's defensive walls, but Titans make the trip anything but routine. When the player gets separated from their group, they must fight to meet back up with some very familiar allies and escape the dingy castle with their limbs - and lives - intact.

"Eren Jaeger swore to wipe out every last Titan, but in a battle for his life he wound up becoming the thing he hates most. With his new powers, he fights for humanity's freedom facing the monsters that threaten his home. After a bittersweet victory against the Female Titan, Eren finds no time to rest—a horde of Titans is approaching Wall Rose and the battle for humanity continues!"

If you are not familiar with Attack on Titan, then you should know the popular anime is renowned for its intense action and gritty storylines. The anime follows a boy named Eren Yeager in an alternate world overrun by massive creatures known as Titans. These mindless beasts have all but wiped out humanity, and mankind is left to cower in fear behind massive walls. When their sanctum is infiltrated by a slew of Titans, Eren and his friends Armin and Mikasa join the military to help eradicate the blood-thirty monsters. But, as they grow older, they learn that the beasts are not what they appear as long-held government conspiracies make themselves known.
