Digimon English Actors Talk Returning To Digimon Adventure Tri.

When it comes to nostalgia, there are few industries which capitalize on the phenomenon like anime. The booming market made its first big dip into the U.S. back in the '90s when series like Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, and Digimon were brought abroad. Now, studios are bringing back those franchises for reboots and sequels, giving fans the chance to meet back up with characters they once idolized. In just a few weeks, Digimon fans will be able to catch up with Tai and the rest of the DigiDestined when Shout Factory brings part of the franchise's new anime film series to Blu-ray and DVD.

If you thought fans were excited, then you might want to give Digimon's voice actors a quick glance. The stars are more than ready to return to their anime roles, and ComicBook has an exclusive clip detailing the cast's take on their characters' growth.

In the short bonus clip above, fans can hear from a few of the actors from Digimon Adventure Tri. about their take on their characters.

"A number of years have past since they've even been in touch with their Digimon," Robbie Daymond (Joe Kido_ said. "They've just been living their lives as normal high school students."

"So, it's almost like the time passed in real time and now you get to see them in high school in their own world - how their interactions have changed being on the cusp of adulthood," Cristina Vee (Meiko Mochizuki) added.

"It's been six years since that summer adventure when Taichi and the rest of the DigiDestined crossed over to the Digital World and nearly three years since the final battle between Hikari's group and BelialVamdemon. And, at some point, while the peaceful days went by, the gate to the Digital World mysteriously closed.

But when a Kuwagamon suddenly appears in Odaiba, its rampage leaves the town in ruins, and the people there in turmoil. Taichi chases after it, in an effort to halt its rampage. But there's nothing he can do against a Kuwagamon. Not by himself.

And that's where a new adventure begins…"

The previous Digimon Adventure Tri. films are currently streaming on Crunchyroll. The site has released each film in four episodic bits. The Digimon Adventure Tri. films were created to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Digimon Adventure anime which debut nearly 20 years ago. The original series by Akiyoshi Hongo ran for 54 episodes between 1999-2000 and was a huge success in the United States. The new film series will collect 6 features, and the first Digimon Adventure Tri. film will soon have its English dub released on Blu-ray and DVD.
