Dragon Ball Z fans, you better get ready to see Gohan go all-out soon. The 'Universal Survival' arc is well-underway, and time is ticking down before Universe 7 must enter its team into the Tournament of Power. Goku has been busy recruiting Android 17 to the event, and the Saiyan will soon approach Master Roshi and Tien. Gohan has been tasked with getting Piccolo on their side, and the two fighters will do a bit of training to boot. And, if one episode preview has anything to say, then Gohan will bring back his Ultimate Form.

In the preview for episode 88, fans can watch as Gohan and Piccolo undergo some rigorous training with one another. Not only does the sight bring back all the nostalgic feels, but Gohan is also shown fighting in a very familiar stance. The trailer shows Gohan going against a slew of Piccolo transmissions, and the half-Saiyan is seen sporting his bang!

That's right! The haircut associated with Gohan's powerful Ultimate Form is reintroduced, and the hero is even shown with bulked up muscles. Gohan's eyes are also closed in, giving the character a formidable appearance.

If you are not familiar with Gohan's so-called mystical state, then you should know how important the state is in Dragon Ball. The form first appeared in Dragon Ball Z when the Old Kai helped Gohan unlock his potential during the Majin Buu saga. The state allowed Gohan to nearly defeat Buu before the villain's Super transformation was able to absorb him.

When Gohan enters his mystical state, the hero has tapped into all the potential Goku and Piccolo have raved about since his birth. Once Gohan had this potential unlocked, he can still power into Super Saiyan or SS2, and the forms were enhanced slightly thanks to the unlock. During Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, Gohan even appeared to go SS on top of his mystical form, but the hero has since said he's lost the ability to power-up as such due to inactivity.

Moving forward, it looks like Piccolo is about to whip Gohan out of his 'dad-bod' state even if the half-Saiyan could still easy defeat most of Earth's fighters. The hero will have a new slew of opponents to face with the multiverse comes together for the Omni-King's battle, and Gohan will need to utilize all the strength he can.

Dragon Ball Super's "Universal Survival" saga is part of the recent simulcast agreement that sites like Crunchyroll and Funimation have scored. Dragon Ball Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami will begin airing the English dub on Adult Swim Saturdays at 11:30 p.m.
