If there is one thing Dragon Ball fans love, it is a fusion. Heroes like Gogeta and Vegito rank as two of the franchise's most powerful fighters. Guys like Gotenks are enough to get any otaku buzzing, and Dragon Ball Super will put a heartsick spin on a new fusion character soon.

Just, don't expect it to have to do with the Saiyans.

Dragon Ball Super will debut its 102nd episode next weekend, and the release will see three fighters from Universe 2 merge together. You can read up on the new fusion below in the synopsis for "The Power of Love Explodes?! Universe 2's Magical Girl Warrior!!"

"Now's the time to merge?! The warrior of love and victory! White-hot battles continue at the Tournament of Power. The Universe 2 warrior Brianne merges with her allies Sanka and Su, transforming into Ribrianne! How powerful is she?!"

Breaking down the translation, it appears the synopsis uses the term "Gattai" when discussing the merge. The term is one which is also used to convey fusions, so fans are wondering if the magical girls will unveil a trio fusion that powers up Ribrianne more so than before.

Still, there are others who feel less certain about the synopsis. There is a chance the merging mention simply nods to an alliance, leaving Ribrianne and her lovestruck comrades to fight as a team against Universe 7. Either way, the cutesy fighters of Universe 2 will have a tough time against Goku and his Saiyan squad. The preview for next week's episode does show Vegeta going Super Saiyan Blue against the fighters, but the lead could always tag-team with Goku to take out Ribrianne if necessary.

The synopsis of Dragon Ball Super's current saga can be read here: "According to an invitation that Goku gets, Zen-Oh (Omni King) is starting a martial arts tournament between all the universes called "Chikara no Taikai" (Tournament of Power). But it is the beginning of universal destruction. Something awaits the winners and losers of this tournament. What will become of this fierce team battle between each universe's elite warriors?

Dragon Ball Super's "Universal Survival" saga is part of the recent simulcast agreement that sites like Crunchyroll and Funimation have scored. Dragon Ball Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami airs the English dub on Adult Swim Saturdays at 11:30 p.m.
