It's official; If you were hoping Toei Animation would walk back its current dealings with Freeza, then you are about to be disappointed. Over on Dragon Ball Super, the galactic tyrant found himself revived by Fortuneteller Baba after Goku recruited the villain to help keep Universe 7 from being destroyed. Now, the anime has delivered a new key visual for its ongoing arc, and it confirms Freeza is here to stay.

In the most recent issue of V-Jump, fans got a new look at how the 'Universal Survival' arc is about to go down. The magazine featured an updated visual for the storyline which officially replaces Majin Buu with Freeza. The picture, which can be seen below, now shows the despotic criminal lurking behind Krillin who looks none too pleased by his team's newest member.

Can you blame him though? After all, Freeza did blow up the Z-Fighter at one point…

The new visual was included in a spread detailing the specifics of Dragon Ball Super's Tournament of Power. The information featured in the rundown has already revealed to fans, but it does rank each of the event's competitors by their 'Degree of Danger.' Right now, Universe 2 is sitting pretty with a 2nd place ranking while Universe 3 sits in third. As for Goku's gang, they are ranked 7th behind Universe 6.

The synopsis of Dragon Ball Super's current saga can be read here:

"According to an invitation that Goku gets, Zen-Oh (Omni King) is starting a martial arts tournament between all the universes called "Chikara no Taikai" (Tournament of Power). But it is the beginning of universal destruction. Something awaits the winners and losers of this tournament. What will become of this fierce team battle between each universe's elite warriors?"

Dragon Ball Super's "Universal Survival" saga is part of the recent simulcast agreement that sites like Crunchyroll and Funimation have scored. Dragon Ball Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami will begin airing the English dub on Adult Swim Saturdays at 11:30 p.m.
