History has seen its share of famous betrayals, but One Piece wants fans to know they have nothing on its upcoming showdown between Luffy and Sanji. A new promo for the anime's one-hour special debuted in Japan, and it straight-up compared Sanji to Judas.

No, really. You can check out the stills below!

The promo, which has since been taken down by Toei Animation, was a five-minute clip of pure hype. Fans like Yonkou Prod were able to screencap much of the teaser on Twitter, and you can check out some of its stills here.

As fans can see, the promo was created to hype the impending fight between Luffy and Sanji. The anime is working through its 'Whole Cake Island' arc, and the saga pits the friends against one another after Sanji attempts to desert the Straw Hat Pirates. The showdown is a long-awaited one for One Piece, and Toei Animation was not kidding around with this promo.

Seriously, the studio brought in Daisuke Sato to assist with the teaser. The videographer is best-known for creating intro videos of martial artists and professional wrestlers.

There's no word on why Toei Animation chose to restrict the promo, but fans believe it has to do with its soundtrack. The clip contained a portion of One Piece's new opening song "Hope" as peformed by Namie Amuro. The full track is slated to debut on October 1 when the One Piece special premieres.
