If you have ever wanted to enter the world of Tokyo Ghoul, then you will soon have a chance to do so. Well, sort of. Thanks to Japan, a live-action stage play based on Tokyo Ghoul will soon get its debut. The production will bring characters like Ken Kanekia and more to life. And, now, the play's official website has released a new cast visual for the play.

You can check out the image below.

In the picture, Ken is seen front-and-center with his eye glowing a eerie red. Others like Touka and Nishio can be spotted in the photo as well.

For those of you hoping to see the play, then you will have to do some traveling. Tokyo Ghoul's stage play will open in Tokyo this summer throughout June and July. There are no plans for the show to travel outside of Japan at this time.

The upcoming play is not the first one Tokyo Ghoul has had. Back in 2015, the supernatural series got its first live adaptation. Yūki Ogoe brought the story's protagonist to life in the first production as well.

The play's full cast line-up can be found below:

If you are unfamiliar with Tokyo Ghoul, Viz Media describes the story below:

"Ghouls live among us, the same as normal people in every way - except their craving for human flesh. Shy Ken Kaneki is thrilled to go on a date with the beautiful Rize. But it turns out that she's only interested in his body - eating it, that is. When a morally questionable rescue transforms him into the first half-human half-Ghoul hybrid, Ken is drawn into the dark and violent world of Ghouls, which exists alongside our own."

The series debuted in September 2011 thanks to mangaka Sui Ishida. Weekly Young Jump first published the manga before it was adapted into an anime series by Pierrot. The anime premiered in July 2014 before a second season ran in January 2015. A third season has yet to be announced by any party.
