Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side Of Dimensions English Sneak Peak Released

Later this month, Yu-Gi-Oh! is set to make an important comeback in the U.S. thanks to the franchise's latest film. Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions will screen in select cinemas starting January 27, and fans of the iconic anime are excited to see familiar faces like Yugi Muto and Seto Kaiba return. The film has already received rave reviews from when it premiered in Japan back in April 2016, and 4K Media is getting fans hyped for the movie's dub. Now, a sneak-peek of the anime feature has been released, and it will have long-time fans feeling a lot of emotions.

For fans of Yu-Gi-Oh!, you will no doubt know that Yugi has been separated from his alter-ego Yami for some time. The original anime came to a close when the young boy dueled against Atem, the soul of a Pharaoh who embodied Yugi thanks to his Millennium Puzzle. The mystical item was shattered after Yugi won the fight, leaving him alone while Atem disappeared in a flash of gold light. For Yugi, the separation has been trying to say at the least, and this sneak-peek shows just how much the boy misses his partner.

The clip starts off with Joey Wheeler having gotten his Duel Disk back while he takes a walk with Yugi and Tea Gardner. When the latter boy is seen looking a bit bereft, the two friends ask Yugi what's wrong, and the boy admits that he is thinking about Atem.

"Yug, it's okay. You guys shared a connection. It totally makes sense that you miss him sometimes," Joey says. But, sadly, it seems that Yugi is missing Atem all of the time.

"It's just that things ended so suddenly between us," Yugi reminisces. "You left me forever. I know it was for the best, but I wish I just had one more to chance to let him know what he meant to me."

In Spring 2017, a brand-new Yu-Gi-Oh! anime is also set to hit televisions thanks to TV Tokyo. The new series will follow a hero named Yūsaku Fujiki as he enters the dangerous world of Duel Monsters.
