'Redneck' Writer And Skybound Team-Up To Help Victims Of Hurricane Harvey

People around the country are wondering what they can do to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey, and Skybound and Redneck writer Donny Cates felt the same way.

That's why they've teamed up to produce a new shirt with the message "Texas Forever" emblazoned on the front. All proceeds from the shirt will go towards helping the Houston Coalition for the Homeless, which is currently working with other local services in the Houston area to get people back in housing due to the devastation from the hurricane.

Helping those in need and getting a free shirt because of it is not a bad deal, and you can check out the shirt here. You can also find out more about the Houston Coalition for the Homeless and what it is doing to help with Hurricane Harvey here. The shirt itself is featured below.

The hurricane is expected to dole out an additional 7 to 13 inches of rain over the course of the week, creating even more flooding for a city that has already received so much of it in such a short time.

If you would rather help in a different way, you can find a few more alternatives to help below.

American Red Cross: You can visit their official website, call 1.800.Red Cross, or text HARVEY to 90999 to make a $10 donation.

Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund: This has been setup by the Houston Mayer Sylvester Turner. To find out more and submit a donation you can visit the official website.

United Way of Greater Houston: A flood relief fund has been setup, and you can find out more on their website or you can text UWFLOOD to 41444.

SPCA of Texas: They are also helping with foster homes for pets, and you can find out more about them here.

These are not by any means the only ways to help, but they are a great start.
