Aquaman Receives A Terrific Dawn Of Justice Spin Thanks To Raquel Sparrow Cosplay

The Aquaman that Warner Bros. and DC introduced to fans in their superhero throwdown film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a far cry from the character seen in the vintage comics.
This new Aquaman, played by Jason Momoa, sports Atlantean tattoos with well-worn scale armor on his shoulder and arms. While he appears very briefly in the final film, it was enough to inspire fans of the character to craft their own versions of the hero's new look.
Enter Raquel Sparrow Cosplay, who recreated his regal pirate king look stunningly. The green scaled pants give the costume a vibrant pop of color, which works well with the gold trimmings found in the armor, belt buckle, and boots. Sparrow went above and beyond though and actually recreated the shoulder and torso tattoos that Momoa sports in the film. No Aquaman cosplay is complete without a weapon worthy of a King, and Sparrow doesn't disappoint with a Trident made by Matt Gray.
Sparrow had the fortune of standing against some pretty impressive backdrops, courtesy of photographers Snap Happy Ian, Daryl Lynch, and Ben Warden. The backgrounds are filled with lovely hues of purple, orange, and bronze, and serve the gold and green in her costume quite well.
The upcoming Justice League will feature a redesigned look for Arthur, which features armor in the same color territory but with coverage from head to toe.
