Check Out This Exclusive First Look at Gary Frank and Brad Anderson's Superman Reborn Variant Covers

DC has provided ComicBook.com with an exclusive first look at fan-favorite artists Gary Frank and Brad Anderson's covers for "Superman Reborn," next month's mini-event taking place across two issues of Superman and Action Comics.

Like the cover to April's Action Comics #977, as revealed by ComicBook.com last month, Frank's comics draw pretty heavily from the character's history -- including a look at the Hank Henshaw version of the Cyborg Superman, not seen since Rebirth but teased in recent issues of Action Comics.

The four covers -- for Superman #18-19 and Action Comics #975-976 -- are horizontally-connected variants, and there's a mysterious character in part 3 who is apparently such a game-changer that he has been blacked out and won't be revealed, according to DC, until the book's publication date.

Certainly the fact that Mr. Oz is playing such a key role in the Superman titles right now, it seems plausible that this mysterious figure could turn out to be an unmasked version of that character.

It's also worth noting that the Man of Steel's look evolves throughout these four covers, from his shirt-rip, to his Rebirth costume, to a throwback look at the New 52 Superman costume (here's how we think that might play in), to the recently-revealed new look for the Man of Steel.
