Telltale Games debuted their upcoming Batman game at E3, though most of the information came behind closed door presentations.

That said, we do have more information on a release window for the series, as Telltale's Head of Creative Communications Job Stauffer has said "we are bringing this to market soon", and that "we'll have all 5 episodes out before the end of the year." (via GamesRadar). He later clarified that with a tweet that read "This is a minor misquote. Certainly aiming to have all 5 by 12/31. We develop live, so bear with us on Ep 5 in Dec."

After that tweet, he posted one more comment that read "Regardless, you *will* play the majority of the series this year, if not all of it, after it premieres later this Summer!"

That means the first episode should drop sometime in July or August if they are keeping near that release a month type schedule. That's a far cry from past Telltale games, as those have sometimes been closer to a release every 2 months.

The first reactions to the game's 30-minute opening presentation at E3 have been mostly positive, as the developers seem at east with capturing the essence of Batman and Bruce Wayne. That said, we have heard that it doesn't move very far from the Telltale formula seen in previous games, so those hoping for some bigger leaps forward in that regard might be disappointed. As for Batman himself, this take on the character is completely original, with characters like Catwoman and (possibly) Two-Face interacting with the Dark Knight for the first time.
