Wonder Woman Director Releases Post-Production Photo

While Justice League will finally unite the iconic team onscreen, fans are even more excited to see what director Patty Jenkins does with Wonder Woman's solo debut.

The film seems to be nearing the end of post-production, and Jenkins shared a new photo of the behind the scenes process on Twitter. The picture shows the orchestra and engineers in the recording studio with the caption "Man! Last many Fridays have been some of the best in my life. Seeing final effects and recording EPIC score!?!Brings tears to my eyes #love."

Jenkins has made no secret that she wanted the Wonder Woman project for some time, even before Warner Bros. knew they would be making one. In a previous interview with EW, Jenkins said "When I made Monster and they asked me what I wanted to do [next], I immediately said, 'I want to make Wonder Woman. Everybody knew I wanted to make a superhero movie."

Originally that was going to be Thor: The Dark World, but she later exited the project over creative differences. Ironically, it would be creative differences that would allow her to take the helm of Wonder Woman from previously attached director Michelle MacLaren.

Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins and is written by Allan Heinberg, Geoff Johns, and Zack Snyder. The film stars Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman), Chris Pine (Steve Trevor), Robin Wright (General Antiope), Connie Nielsen (Queen Hippolyta), David Thewlis, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis (Etta Candy), Danny Huston, Ewen Bremmer, Doutzen Kroes, Samantha Jo (Euboea), Florence Kasumba (Senator Acantha), Said Taghmaoui, Eleanor Matsuura (Epione), Emily Carey (Young Diana), and Lisa Loven Kongsli (Menalippe).

The DCEU continues with Wonder Woman opens in theaters on June 2, 2017, followed by Justice League on November 17, 2017; Aquaman on July 27, 2018; Shazam on April 5, 2019; Justice League 2 on June 14, 2019; Cyborg on April 3, 2020; and Green Lantern Corps on July 24, 2020. The Flash, The Batman, Dark Universe and Man of Steel 2 are currently without a release dates.
