The first update of 2024 for Destiny 2 has today been let loose by Bungie. The past few months have been a bit difficult for Destiny 2 players and those at Bungie. Not only did Bungie itself suffer sizable layoffs in late 2023, but the studio soon after announced that it was delaying the next expansion for Destiny 2, titled The Final Shape, to June of 2024. With the calendar having now turned over, though, Bungie is now looking to put its best foot forward with D2 in the new year with the shooter's latest patch.

As of this moment, update version 7.3.0.5 for Destiny 2 is downloadable across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Generally speaking, this patch brings quite a few balance changes to various weapon types in specific game modes. Per usual, there are also a lot of bug fixes and stability improvements in this update as well, which means that many errors D2 players have been running into in recent weeks should now be resolved.
