New Destiny 2 Update Released for Solstice Event, Patch Notes Revealed

07/18/2023 02:21 pm EDT

Bungie has today released its latest update for Destiny 2 to coincide with the online shooter's Solstice event. Previously known as Solstice of Heroes, this new event in Destiny 2 is a reoccurring one that Bungie tends to hold during the summer months. And while most Destiny players are likely focused on the new armor and gear that can be obtained as part of Solstice, an accompanying patch has also been pushed out with some notable changes as well.

Available to download now across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms, this new Destiny 2 update brings about a variety of balance tweaks. Bungie has notably made some slight changes to various weapons found in D2 while also updating how various Stasis and Strand abilities work. Outside of this, there are also a number of bug fixes that have been implemented in this patch, primarily in association with armor, UI, and bounties.
