Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Nintendo Switch Release Date and DLC Bonuses Detailed in V-Jump Magazine

Bandai Namco recently revealed the official release date for the Nintendo Switch version of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 in the latest edition of V-Jump magazine (via SiliconEra). The game will launch in Japan, and very likely in the United States, on September 7. The excitement doesn't end there, though, V-Jump finally gave us the details about what DLC will be included for Nintendo Switch players from the get-go.

Bandai Namco revealed that there will be a "day-one" edition of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 on Nintendo Switch which will contain two big bonuses. The entire Time Patrol campaign from the original game will be included as DLC, and players will also have the option to instantly unlock all 70+ characters from the main story right at the beginning.

The reason we pay special attention to the news coming out of Japan for Xenoverse 2 is because we expect a global launch for the Nintendo Switch version of the game. It's already been out for some time on Xbox One, PC, and PS4, which means that all of the localization has been taken care of ahead of time. There's nothing that would hold Bandai Namco back from releasing the game in both regions simultaneously. Indeed, until now, the release date for Japan and for North America has been "fall." We'll expect that to change very soon.

Time for some features!

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 builds upon the highly popular DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE with enhanced graphics that will further immerse players into the largest and most detailed Dragon Ball world ever developed."
