The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind (PC, Mac, Xbox One & PS4, June 6)

Been meaning to check out Bethesda's Elder Scrolls MMORPG? Well, now may be a prime time to hop aboard, as The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind is about to launch. This is the game's biggest expansion yet, with plenty of goodies for new and old players alike.

As its name implies, the expansion introduces Vvardenfell, the original island setting of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. In addition to a whole lot of new land to explore, The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind includes additional story elements, missions, trials, a PvP battle mode, and a new class, the Warden, who can control animals. Come on, you know you want to take down bad guys with a weaponized grizzly bear!

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: Episode 2 - Under Pressure (PC, Xbox One & PS4, June 6)

Get ready for another dose of Guardians of the Galaxy wackiness. The first episode of Telltale's series left some fans a bit flat as it focused a little too heavily on setup, but Episode 2, "Under Pressure" looks like it will have more meat. This time around, we get a glimpse at Rocket's backstory (And love life?), and, apparently, Star-Lord dies. Although he doesn't stay dead, because of course he doesn't. Also, I bet Groot says "I am Groot" at some point! How can you go wrong?

Dirt 4 (PC, Xbox One & PS4, June 6)

Don't write off Codemasters' Dirt games just because you don't follow rally racing. These are some of the most acclaimed racing titles out there, and Dirt 4 looks to be another solid entry. This time around, the racing takes place on five massive open-world environments set in the United States, Australia, Spain, Sweeden and Wales, with specific courses being procedurally generated, making for a nearly endless array of racing possibilities.

Wipeout Omega Collection (PS4, June 7)

Grab some glow sticks and settle in for some techno-infused futuristic racing fun, because Sony's classic Wipeout series returns this week. Wipeout Omega Collection contains Wipeout HD, its expansion Wipeout HD Fury, and Wipeout 2048. All three games have received a visual touch up and can now be played in 4K on the PS4 Pro. It may not be summer quite yet, but Wipeout Omega Collection will make your palms sweat!

World of One (PC, Mac & Linux, June 8)

Most of the games on this week's list are fairly upbeat, but this one…definitely isn't. In World of One you visit various small, circular planets, all of which are distinctly dark and foreboding. Basically, the game is The Little Prince meets Edward Gorey. I may not be making it sound that enticing, but World of One has a charming visual style and some interesting-looking puzzle design. It might be worth a shot if you're in a dark mood and want to wallow. Check out World of One on Steam.

A big week if you're into The Elder Scrolls or MMOs in general. If you're not, well, there's also a couple good racing games and some more Guardians of the Galaxy fun on the way. Pretty good for the week before E3!
