God of War III: Remastered
Even though we're patiently awaiting the arrival of the new God of War next year, you can enjoy one of Kratos' greatest adventures on the PlayStation 4 right now – and it's a beaut. God of War III Remastered has never looked better, with stunning, jaw-dropping visuals that really bring his world to life, along with the kind of visceral gameplay you've come to expect from a Kratos adventure. On top of that, the boss encounters are truly something, especially when you finally get to face off against Zeus and show him who the king of the Gods really is. Hey, he had it coming.
Resogun
The developers at Housemarque have been quite busy with projects as of late, namely with its cool twin-stick shooter Nex Machina, which we highly recommend. But another classic that's worth your time is Resogun, a sweet shooter that plays a bit like the old-school game Defender, but with some unique twists. You'll fight your way through rotating stages, saving humans and destroying enemies while trying to build up the highest score you can. And once you finish a level, it all completely detonates, while you fly through the wreckage. Good stuff from Housemarque.
WWE 2K16
Even though we're just a few months away from the arrival of WWE 2K18, you can get your wrestling fix right now with WWE 2K16, which features a pretty strong collection of older wrestling favorites and newer superstars, like John Cena and Daniel Bryan. Even though the controls have gotten better in subsequent games, this one's still worth checking out for its loaded roster and great multiplayer options. Plus, there are a few faces in it that aren't around anymore…including the Terminator!

Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition
As we count the days until Darksiders III eventually finds a release next year, we have another great adventure to bide our time with – the stellar Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition. This game provides a huge boost over the design of the original game, with massive open worlds to explore, a fundamental combat system that looks pretty incredible, great boss encounters, and the kind of visuals and music you've come to expect from Joe "Mad" Madureira and company. Now if we could just get Darksiders: Warmastered Edition in the collection…

Saints Row IV: Re-Elected
This game may be a few years old now, and we're bound to get some fresh Saints Row content with Agents of Mayhem next month, but there's no denying that Re-Elected is an insane amount of fun. You portray the raunchiest president in history (yes, even raunchier than that one), and you're out to kick alien ass in the best way you know how. Filled with hilarious moments, nonstop action and some of the most creative weapons and abilities you'll find in gaming, Saints Row deserves a revisit on your PlayStation 4.
