George A. Romero Gets A Loving Tribute In Dying Light

Earlier this year, we lost a filmmaking legend when George A. Romero passed away at the age of 77. But his legacy is definitely not forgotten, with films like Night of the Living Dead and its inspired follow-ups continuing to be loved by millions of fans.
But he also has quite a foothold in the video game industry. Along with appearing as himself – and a zombie – in the Call of the Dead Zombie map in Call of Duty: Black Ops, Techland has decided to include the horror master in a recent update to Dying Light.
The company tweeted out a new video featuring a mural that pays tribute to Romero, complete with lit candles, moody writing, and zombies paying tribute to his passing with salutes.
"Our tribute to The Master," the team tweeted in the message, along with hashtags "#filmsusedtobedangerous" and "#filmisfearless". You can see the video below.
So where can you find the mural within the game? Actually, it can be found around Jaffar's Garage. Just hunt around and you'll be able to see it for yourself, with a nod to the "Father of Zombies".
We have a feeling that we haven't seen the last of these tributes, so we'll keep our eyes peeled to see where tributes to Romero appear next. He definitely deserves them.
Dying Light is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
