God Of War Apparently Has A Digital Deluxe Edition…And A Possible Release Date

Sony made it clear earlier in the year that the reboot of the God of War franchise wouldn't be making it out this year. That's fine, as we're good about getting some great games on the horizon for 2018, alongside that and Spider-Man.

Today, though, an Amazon listing may have revealed just when we can expect the game – and, even more so, what kind of edition that we can buy.

The listing indicates that the game is set to arrive on June 30, 2018, right in the midst of summer. This is actually a pretty good time for a summer game release, as it enables gamers to enjoy it without all sorts of holiday titles entering into their play stack.

Now, that's not confirmed, but with Sony's Paris Games Week event on the horizon, there's a good possibility that the date may be nailed down once the event comes around. For now, though, all we can do is speculate. The listing's still up, but there's a good chance it may be taken down until an official announcement is made.

But another thing worth noting with the listing is the availability of a special Digital Deluxe Edition of the game, going for $69.99. It includes a digital copy of the game, along with these additional goodies:

That's not a bad deal at all, and it appears that the upgrade will be well worth the $10. We'll keep you notified once Sony makes it official.

God of War will release sometime in 2018.
