Starfire's Trigon Shoutout
In this brief gameplay clip, we see an intriguing clash between Robin and Starfire. We expect some of the juiciest dialogue in the entire game to come out of these two in their intro exchanges and in clashes like this one. Indeed, we're already getting some fascinating callouts. In this instance, Starfire states that "not even Trigon could take my heat."
Now that's interesting. Trigon is a fairly obscure reference, though the demon does play a pretty prominent role within the Teen Titans canon as Starfire's one-time captor and Raven's father. It's a name that we haven't heard in a while, and we can't help but wonder if Trigon may eventually make it into the game. Oh yeah, you guys know exactly what picture we're about to come back to.
Remember this beauty? There are a number of silhouettes that could belong to Trigon if you use your imagination. His horns could be hidden by the giant hat that we assume belongs to Raiden; it wouldn't be the first time NetherRealm trolled its fans with silhouettes. He could also be any of the hulking humanoid shapes as well. A bowed head and cloak can work wonders.
Is there a demon in our midst, or is Trigon DLC too far-fetched? Let us know what you think below.
Could Trigon join the roster?
