Marvel Heroes Omega Open Beta Kicks Off on PS4 Tomorrow

Marvel Heroes 2016 is finally relaunching on consoles as Marvel Heroes Omega. Following a massively successful closed beta period on PlayStation 4, lead designer Ben Gilbert took to the PlayStation Blog to announce that tomorrow marks the launch of the Marvel Heroes Omega open beta, so any of you will be able to log in, download the game, and play for free. "Soon, players around the world can become the Hero! Play as Spider-Man, the Avengers, the Defenders, the X-Men, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and so many more. We've heard so many stories from our closed beta players about how much fun they've been having playing Marvel Heroes Omega couch co-op with friends and family. It really hearkens back to those classic Marvel co-op games from days past and we hope you enjoy it, too."
Gilbert reminds the impatient among you that you can start playing immediately with the purchase of a Marvel Heroes Omega founder's pack from the PlayStation Store, which grants you immediate beta access, exclusive characters, and other rewards and bonuses. The community is going to swell starting tomorrow, so there's never been a better time to jump in. That's not all, though. Gilbert continues:
"On top of that, tomorrow's May 23 open beta launch is really just the beginning for Marvel Heroes Omega. We have tons of plans for new content, fun events, and even more fan favorite Heroes we plan to introduce to the game over time. The road ahead is long and promising."
Don't forget that we also recently reported that the Xbox One version of Marvel Heroes Omega will be coming on June 20. Soon all console players (Nintendo Switch excepted) will have the opportunity to try the game that has been sucking away the free time of Marvel Comics fans around the world for months now. Grab a friend for some couch co-op this weekend and go to town.
