Telltale Games' episodic adventures are a staple on pretty much every platform you can name – PC, Xbox, PlayStation, mobile, and even the PS Vita are supported. The one glaring exception is the Nintendo Switch. The first seasons of Minecraft: Story Mode will arrive on the Switch sometime this summer, but what about other Telltale favorites like The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Guardians of the Galaxy, and The Wolf Among Us? Playing those on the go on the Switch would be pretty sweet!

Well, it sounds like something may be in the works. GameSpot recently caught up with Telltale head of communications Job Stauffer, and he seemed pretty high on the Switch

"We haven't even announced Minecraft: Story Mode Season 2 for Switch but we certainly hope to continue things on that platform -- we're big fans. It wouldn't be unheard if more of our series also made it to Switch. We love the platform. It's kind of perfect for what we do. All of our games are the same on mobile as they are on consoles. And with a mobile console [like the Switch] it's pretty awesome."

Telltale and Nintendo have a long history together, with the studio's early games like Sam & Max Save the World and Tales of Monkey Island coming out on Wii. In recent years, Telltale's support of Nintendo platforms has been rather spotty, but it seems likely the two companies will resume their friendly relationship now that the Nintendo Switch is selling like hotcakes.

Minecraft: Story Mode for Nintendo Switch doesn't yet have a date, although a July or August release is likely. Minecraft: Story Mode - Season 2 is currently slated to hit PC, Mac, Xbox One, PS4, and mobile on July 11.
