The third, and luscious, new map has been live for a few days now on the PC version of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, but the dev team still has so much to share! The newest 4Km x 4Km map went through a lot of changes based on player feedback, plus quite a few hidden surprises, and now Bluehole is sharing that journey with fans.

"From the beginning, it was our goal to let you in on Sanhok's development—you even helped us build it. Now that the map is out, we want to give you an even deeper look behind the scenes at PUBG and into the creation of Sanhok from concept to release," boasts their latest blog post on Steam, with the video for the documentary above.

The video details many of the changes the new area went through since its early alpha stage, while also sharing the various inspirations behind the tropical not-so paradise. It's always a stunning experience to see the devs do their thing behind the scenes and with how immersive the latest map is, to see that built from the ground up is incredible.

Here's what you need to know about the new map and how it differs from its previous beta version:

As far as the newly added event pass goes, "This first Event Pass is all about celebrating the launch of Sanhok, so it includes an item set that fits the map Sanhok thematically. The Event Pass will last for about four weeks, and it includes dozens of missions, including daily missions, weekly missions, and Sanhok-specific missions. By completing missions and leveling up, you'll unlock rewards. These rewards won't be tradable or marketable, so only those of you who really earn them will get to show them off in-game."

You can learn more about what the Event Pass adds to the game right here! Also, feel free to sound off about your thoughts on the latest map in the comment section below! Did the video endear Sanhok to you, or are you just not interested? Tell us all about it!
