This Man Took His Spider-Man PS4 Hype to the Next Level

Go big or go home. That's Dante Garcia's philosophy. This University of New Mexico pre-med student has an intense love for Spider-Man. Now you may think you're a superfan because you have a ton of Spider-Man comics and posted up a few Fathead posters of the web-slinger around your room, but this dude wanted to make sure that that his love of Spider-Man could be put on display for all to see no matter where he is. The best way to do that, obviously, with with an enormous tattoo across your back.
Garcia showed off the work in progress, tagging Insomniac Games, developers of the new Spider-Man game for PS4. "Look at my Spider-Man tattoo," he exclaimed. "It's still got one more session to go. Hope you guys enjoy!" The folks over at Insomniac, being perhaps the most genuine and down-to-earth people in the business, were delighted to retweet Garcia's ink and show him some love:
Well you know that just made his day. If you look closely at his tattoo, you'll realize that this version of Spider-Man is inspired directly by Insomniac's upcoming game. The telltale sign is the giant white spider sprawled across Spidey's chest, which is a design choice unique to this game. We don't know exactly why Spider-Man is sporting a white spider yet, but Insomniac promised that there's actually a pretty significant story reason for this unusual detail. You can also tell that the pose is taken directly from one of the earliest (and most popular) screenshots from the game.
One of the comments in Garcia's original post asks him what he'll do if the game turns out to be terrible. We don't think that's going to happen -- every time we see new footage we have to pick our jaws up off of the floor -- but it is maybe something he should have considered. Alright, now who has the giant Super Mario Odyssey tattoo across their chest? We've got a headline with your name on it.
