Vanquish Officially Confirmed For PC, Coming Later This Month

We've been seeing a few teases for the game earlier this month, but today, Sega made it official – we're getting a whole lot of Platinum Games' Vanquish for PC.
The game will arrive on May 25th, just barely over a month after the previous release of Platinum's Bayonetta on PC, and its Steam page is already promising a lot of fan-friendly features to get excited about. These include an unlocked frame rate option, if you feel like speeding the game up a bit; unlocked HD resolutions, if your PC unit can handle it; and various other graphics options so you can tweak the game's performance.
On top of that, Sega is also offering a special Digital Deluxe Edition of the game, which comes with a soundtrack featuring five different Vanquish tunes, as well as exclusive avatars, a digital art book and desktop wallpapers – so you can make your computer look even more bad-ass.
Best of all, if you picked up Bayonetta on Steam already, you'll be able to get Vanquish for a lot cheaper. The game will be 25 percent off when you pre-order it on Steam, and, on top of that, if you pre-order before the game's release, you'll automatically be upgraded to the Digital Deluxe Edition at no charge.
Vanquish originally released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 several years back, presenting a high-octane action experience as your super-powered soldier took on a variety of human and robotic enemies, using a booster to get around a level quicker and set up some unique attacks, like a slo-mo shooting recovery. The game was a cult hit back in the day, but it hasn't really seen any new action – until later this month, obviously.
And there seems to be more where that came from, as Sega has indicated that there has been a "positive response" to Bayonetta's launch, and they expect the same from Vanquish. What's more, a few additional titles could be coming as well.
The company's executive, John Clark, noted, "There's more to come from Sega in this space, so stay tuned for further announcements." We can't wait to see what's next.
Check out the official launch trailer above, and prepare for some freakin' fun with Vanquish!
