Zombies Chronicles Celebration Theme Free On PS4

If you've been enjoying the recent release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Zombies Chronicles on PlayStation 4, but maybe feel like you're not getting quite enough zombie action in-game, there's a theme for expansion available for the console that just might fill that undead void.
For a limited time event, players can pick up the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Zombies Celebration Theme for free. This zombified theme is being made free as a promotion for the special 8 Days of the Undead event.
As most themes go, the changes being made to the PlayStation 4's menu are purely cosmetic, but for a free theme, it doesn't look half bad. It's a simple one, featuring a grotesque arm curling up across a neutral background. The arm has also been sectioned off into distinct parts that showcase some of the most iconic maps from the Zombies franchise. The icons for in the Dynamic Menu have been replaced with red and black battered images of their original forms. There's not too much going on with the theme, but compared to plenty of other themes that are available in the store, the quality of the simple theme certainly reflects the fact that it came from a big-name franchise. Plus, it's free, so there's really no reason to pick it up while you still can, at least to hang on to it for a future date.
The Zombies Chronicles expansion launched on May 16, and with it came the opportunity to revisit some of the best Treyarch maps in Zombies history, some of which expand all the way back to Call of Duty: World at War. While Zombies Chronicles carries a somewhat hefty price tag of $30, it's similar to the free theme in that when you consider everything that's included — not to factor in the nostalgia — it's not a bad deal.
If you didn't catch the details of the 8 Days of the Undead event, there are several goodies to cash in on even if you haven't picked up the DLC yet. Double XP and some more free content in addition to this theme are some of the best rewards you can claim during the event.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Zombie Chronicles will be released for PC and Xbox One players on June 16.
