Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 4 has been an exciting ride so far, and its only getting wilder, as Life Model Decoy prototype Aida has ifiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D.'s ranks, and an attempt to secure the book of evil known as The Darkhold. With S.H.I.E.L.D. now facing multiple threats from within, it'sgoing to be an all hand on deck situation, in order to eventually clean house.

When it comes to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s house cleaning, there is no better expert than Patton Oswalt, who plays identical twin brothers, Sam and Billy Koenig. In a recent announcement, it was revealed that The Koenigs will be the focus of an upcoming epiosde of the show, in which the brothers are the target of forces trying to steal away The Darkhold.

EW reports that the January 31st episode "Hot Potato Soup" will be the one that features Oswalt. After meeting the Koenig triplets (Eric - who was killed by Ward - Sam and Billy), it's long been an secret how they have such a close twin connection; as showrunners Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen tell EW about this upcoming episode, "Patton Oswalt returns as the Koenigs, and we finally reveal their family secret."

The easy guess is that the Koenigs are also LMDs - and possibly have a either a leg up on fighting Aida, or a vulnerability that would put them under her sway. Either way, fans are probably hoping for a little more Patton Oswalt in the show.

The comedian has been in the spotlight the past year for both tragic and comedic reasons; the loss of his wife, writer Michelle Eileen McNamara, and a public and forthright bought with depression has kept him in fans thoughts and prayers. Oswalt was also a leading voice on social media during the 2016 Election (and beyond), with his witty and well-timed quips often trending.

Catch Patton Oswalt on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. again during the January 31st episode, "Hot Potato Soup."
