One of Westworld's newest additions will be making their way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Deadline recently revealed that Hiroyuki Sanada (Life, The Last Samurai) will have a "supporting role" in Avengers: Infinity War. No details about his role were given, other than that he is expected to shoot his scenes in the near future.

Given what we already know about Infinity War, and it's as-yet-untitled sequel, some have already began theorizing what part Sanada could play. Avengers 4 began filming last month, and a Tokyo, Japan setting is expected to factor heavily into the film. There is a chance that Sanada could be playing one of the Yakuza members reportedly in the film, or an unknown ally to one of Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

This isn't the first time that Sanada has entered the Marvel superhero realm, as he previously appeared as Shingen in Fox's The Wolverine.

In addition to Infinity War, Sanada is set to join the cast of Westworld's sophomore season. The Japanese actor will be playing Musashi, a character who was first teased in the show's Funko Pop! line. Details about his character are also currently unknown, but many have theorized that he be a key factor in the Samurai World storyline.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018.
