Avengers 4 Has Started Filming

It's happening! The fourth Avengers film has officially begun production.

The Russo Brothers took to Facebook to share an image of a purple glove with four fingers up, captioned, "Beginning the end." The eerie caption summarizes the description of the fourth Avengers film, which is often called the culmination of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Based on the footage revealed to fans from its Avengers: Infinity War predecessor at Disney's D23 Expo and San Diego Comic-Con, this might actually be the end of the road for several of the Avengers characters.

The title of the fourth Avengers film has not yet been revealed as it is teased to be a spoiler for the third. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige tells ComicBook.com he hopes to keep the title under wraps for "as long as possible," and likely until after Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters.

"They're all big," Joe Russo told ComicBook.com at San Diego Comic-Con 2017. "It's important for both movies to be distinctly different. It's important for them to have different tones, and different narratives, and different surprises for the audience. We've worked really hard with [writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeeley] at ensuring that the films are tonally different and structurally different."
