Game Of Thrones Season 7 First Look Released

Rumors have been circulating that a trailer for Game of Thrones Season 7 may be coming in the very near future. So far there has been no official word on that, but HBO did air a "Coming in 2017" promo during last night's episode of Westworld that featured new shots from Game of Thrones Season 7.

Sansa Stark, played by Sophie Turner, was shown. Turner is noticeably wearing a wig to cover her now blonde hair. When we last saw Sansa she had proven vital in reclaiming Winterfell and the North from Ramsay Bolton, and finally fed her former torturer to his own dogs. Petyr Baelish tried to convince Sansa to take control of the North for herself, but she allowed Jon Snow to instead be named the new King in the North.

Jon Snow was also shown in the promo. While he appears to still be at Winterfell in the shot, rumor has it that the King of the North will be headed South in Game of Thrones Season 7, leaving Sansa in charge of Winterfell.

Lastly, Arya Stark was seen riding on horseback in the promotional video. Arya had returned to Westeros after training as a Faceless Man at the House of Black and White in Braavos. She used her newly acquired skills to finally avenge the deaths of her mother and brother at the Red Wedding by sneaking into the home of Walder Frey and murdering him. Whether Arya is riding off to find the next name on her list or elsewhere in Game of Thrones Season 7 remains unknown.

The video hasn't been released online just yet, but all three shots can be seen here (via Watchers on the Wall).

Three shots aren't much to go on, but this first look at Game of Thrones Season 7 will have to hold fans over until a full trailer for the penultimate season of HBO's hit fantasy series does surface.

Game of Thrones Season 7 is currently filming and will premiere on HBO in summer 2017.
