Stephen King's Reaction To New 'IT' Revealed

The first film in the two-part theatrical adaptation of Stephen King's It doesn't hit theaters until later this year, but if you're Stephen King, you get some perks. One of those perks is that you get to see movies based on your books early, and since he's such a generous guy, he can share his thoughts about the movie at his leisure. King had the liberty of seeing an early cut of the first part of It and chose to share his thoughts with one of the film's producers, Seth Grahame-Smith, and it should lay many fans' fears to rest.

King's message to anyone worrying about the film's quality was that "they should stop worrying about it as the producers have done a wonderful job with the production." That's positive news, isn't it? However, we can't help but harp on how vague the kind words are and King didn't commend the performances or direction, merely that the filmmakers "did a wonderful job."

Regardless of what can be inferred from King's words, with early word being positive, that's better than nothing. And with news coming out that the second part of the two-part production will begin filming without waiting for reception of the first installment, that also bodes well for the studio's confidence in how it will perform.

What do you think about the praise from King? Does it sound authentic or pandering? Let us know in the comments!
