Bryan Cranston Says Power Rangers Movie Is Impressive

Fans are excited to see what Lionsgate has in store for their upcoming Power Rangers reboot, and while they'll have to wait a bit longer to see it in theaters, Bryan Cranston is making sure they know it will be worth the wait.

Cranston is lending his voice to the role of Zordon, mentor to the Rangers. He's currently doing press for his animated series SuperMansion, but he did briefly touch on Power Rangers, and it turns out he's already seen a big portion of it (via A.V. Club). Cranston said "this movie is actually gonna be a big deal. I've seen a lot of it because I'm doing ADR on it. And it's impressive. Dean Israelite really has a nice touch. As big and as powerful as Power Rangers could be, he has a nice touch to keep it grounded, and real. I think it's gonna turn some heads, I really do."

That might not make the wait any more bearable, but at least it seems like it won't disappoint.

"Saban's Power Rangers follows five ordinary teens who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove - and the world - is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so, they will have to overcome their real-life issues and before it's too late, band together as the Power Rangers."

Power Rangers stars Bryan Cranston (Zordon), Elizabeth Banks (Rita Repulsa), Naomi Scott (Kimberly/Pink Ranger), David Denman (Sam Scott), Becky G. (Trini/Yellow Ranger), Sarah Grey (Amanda), RJ Cyler (Billy Cranston/Blue Ranger), Emily Maddison (Rebecca), Ludi Lin (Zack Taylor/Black Ranger), and Dacre Montgomery (Jason Lee Scott/Red Ranger).

Power Rangers is set to land in theaters on March 24, 2017.
