First Look At Power Rangers Reboot Action Figures

It's San Diego Comic Con Time! Well, just about. With the convention set to officially kick-off tomorrow, scores of fans and industry professionals have already flooded San Diego to prepare for a weekend of geeky goodness. And, already, fans are getting some exclusive looks behind upcoming projects such as Power Rangers (2017). In fact, SDCC has already given attendees a first look at the reboot's action figures which are sure to impress both new and old fans.

Encased in a gallery box, these Power Rangers are undoubtedly strong enough to smash through the case's glass walls - well, if they wanted to. Fans can see action figures for the Red Ranger (Jason), Pink Ranger (Kimberly), Black Ranger (Zack), Yellow Ranger (Trini), and Blue Ranger (Billy). The action figures appear to come with flexible joints that leave the heroes free to pose in whatever stance suits them best. Don't believe me? Just look at Billy's stance! The teen's updated uniform clearly highlights the hero's strength, and c'mon, who wouldn't want an action figure like this?

Compared to the original Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers TV series, the updated heroes have a brand-new look to fit their upcoming film revival. The team's suits are no longer made of thin, shiny fabric which seem likely to tear under Rita Repulsa's sharp nails. No, the team has upgraded and are now suited with hi-tech uniforms which suit the heroes' extraterrestrial powers. All of the rangers don hard, sleek bodysuits, and this wardrobe change is clearly reflected through SDCC's exclusive Power Rangers action figures.

Recently, hype for the Power Rangers reboot has hit an all-time high, and it's no surprise the wave of attention came just ahead of SDCC. Lionsgate just released their first photos of their Power Rangers in costume only days ago, and Elizabeth Banks made headlines earlier this year when photos of her dressed as Rita Repulsa were published. Fans were also excited to learn earlier this summer that Bryan Cranston - a well-respect Power Rangers alum - had joined the reboot to play Zordon, the team's blue mentor.

SDCC promises to bring even more Power Rangers updates as Lionsgate is slated to update fans on the film during their presentation this weekend. With the film slated for release on March 24th 2017, fans are dying to get whatever updates they can find on the film ahead of its premiere.
