Jason David Frank Reveals His Favorite Power Rangers Season

Jason David Frank has starred in numerous seasons of Power Rangers, but what is his favorite without Tommy Oliver?

That was the question posed to Frank during an appearance at Raleigh Supercon. During a Q&A session, Frank's involvement in the Power Rangers Super Megaforce Legendary Battle reunion came up, which led to a question about his favorite seasons that didn't involve him directly.

"I think Jason Faunt's season was really good, well acted, Time Force," Frank told the audience. "I really didn't get a chance to watch a lot of the other Power Rangers stuff. I mean, I didn't really get a chance to watch my stuff, and it's sad."

Faunt debuted as Wesley Collins in Power Rangers Time Force, the ancestor of the original Red Time Force Ranger Alex Collins. He would go on to be the Red Ranger throughout the rest of Time Force, one of the more beloved seasons in the Power Rangers franchise. He would later return for Power Rangers Wild Force, including the fan favorite Forever Red episode, which he also starred in with Jason David Frank and original Red Ranger Austin St. John.

Frank and Faunt would team up yet again in Super Megaforce's Legendary Battle.

While Frank is a fan of other Power Rangers seasons now, he wasn't always so open to them.

"Jenna, when she grew up she would be like "look Daddy it's Power Rangers," Frank said. "It would be a different season so I'd be like "No baby, that's not Power Rangers." She'd be like "It's not?" and I'm like no no. Power Rangers was season 1, 2, 3. Yeah, I was bad at that."

Frank has been on the convention circuit for a while now, which has increased his awareness of the later shows. "Now that I've been doing conventions I'll probably know a lot more, but I watched Faunt's season because I worked a lot with them and I think there's really good acting there and good storylines ya know," Frank said.

Frank also added Faunt to his ultimate Power Rangers team, which also consisted of Yoshi Sudarso (Power Rangers Dino Charge) and Ciara Hanna (Power Rangers Megaforce/Super Megaforce), though he couldn't quite decide on who he wanted to round out the team.
