Jason David Frank Reveals His Ultimate Power Rangers Team

Jason David Frank's been on his share of Power Rangers teams, but who exactly would he want on his team?

That was the question posed to the former Green, White, Red, and Black Ranger in an interview with That Hashtag Show. The only caveat in picking his Ultimate Power Rangers squad was he couldn't pick someone he was previously on a team with. That proved to be the most difficult part for him.

"Well, I think Faunt was always a good guy," said Frank. "I think Yoshi's very talented because he's a talented fighter, and he's like a caveman which is pretty cool. And of course, I would have a toss up between Kimberly or Katherine..."

It's pointed out that both were on his team at one point (Kimberly in Mighty Morphin and Katherine in Zeo).

"Oh yeah, darn. Okay, well, Ciara was on my team too. (they let that one slide). Alright fine, put her on my team. Ahh, I can't even pick Jeff or Kevin or any of those guys."

So up to this point, the team consists of Jason Faunt (Time Force), Yoshi Sudarso (Dino Charge), and Ciara Hanna (Megaforce/Super Megaforce). Things get a little more vague for the last two places on the roster though.

"Let me see. I mean I loved Andrew in Megaforce too. He's a very cool kid. I would probably have to pick five younger ones, so I would probably have to pick some from the younger seasons so I could be the guy in the back, like the guy to tell them "hey fight!" I'll be in the back ten. Yeah, that's what I would have to do."

It turns out that Frank left those last two a bit vague on purpose, as to not offend anyone.

"It's hard to limit them because now I'm going to get tons of texts from everyone so you kind of see how I left the other two kind of open? So when you text I can be like "dude, I was talking about, C'mon man you think I'm gonna leave you out of that team?"

For the record, the "unofficial" team now consists of Jason Faunt (Time Force), Yoshi Sudarso (Dino Charge), Ciara Hanna (Megaforce/Super Megaforce), and Andrew Gray (Megaforce/ Super Megaforce), with a 5th spot to be decided.

Frank is open to just mentoring a new group of Rangers, though he admits he would eventually have to jump in.

"I don't think you guys mind, but I would have to get some young ones so I could go "hey you guys, fight", and then I would have to pick them up and go "dude, you're such a wimp, let me do it! Watch what I do, and then you learn okay! (laughs)".

Power Rangers Ninja Steel returns on August 12.
