Karan Ashley Reveals Her Favorite 'Power Rangers' Moment

Karan Ashley has plenty of fond memories from her Power Rangers run, but there is one aspect that stands head and shoulders above the others.

Ashley sat down with AiPT! to talk about her new project The Order, which sees Ashley reunited with some of her former teammates and many others from the Power Rangers franchise. That camaraderie managed to influence her pick for favorite Mighty Morphin moment as well.

"Making the movie! We got to shoot in Sydney, Australia and I think that was really the time we got to know each other," Ashley said. "We had so much fun exploring the country and everything was just larger than life. Power Rangers: The Movie had sets that were out of this world. Everything from the costumes to the adventure within the adventure was just so amazing."

While some of the effects haven't aged as well, the suits and even the villains have managed to stand the test of time. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie hit theaters in 1995, and it went on to gross $38 million domestically and over $66 million worldwide.

Ashley's fondness of her friends on set is part of the reason why so many former Rangers have come together for The Order. That said, why not just do an unofficial Power Rangers movie? Ashley explained that as well.

"The Order came from a desire to work with my cast and some of the other cast members who had been on later seasons. We have all gotten to know each other and we do comic cons together all the time. I always thought, man I wish we could work together. We did not want to do any Power Ranger reboot or fan film because it was already being done and there are so many fan films floating around out there," Ashley said. "Plus as actors and artists, you just want to creatively do something different. You just want to stretch yourself and be a character you have never been before. We are super excited to start shooting and are finalizing a distribution deal. Once that is done, we will start filming."

The Order is expected to drop sometime in 2018.
