Max Landis' Original Power Rangers Script Posted To Reddit

It's almost Morphin' Time, as the new Power Rangers movie is heading to theaters later next month. While fans of the franchise can't wait for the film to debut, a very different version of the script almost came to life.

Comic and screenwriter Max Landis was originally hired to write a Power Rangers movie a few years back. He had a completed script in 2014, but was replaced before the film began production. Landis claimed he was fired from the film, but the studio was fairly mum on the claims.

John Gatins ended up writing the version of the script that the studio chose to go with, and Landis' script disappeared.

This week, a reddit user got their hands on the original Landis script and posted it online. It seems legitimate, but no one could be sure if this was the real thing or not.

Well, no one but Max Landis. And he took to Twitter to confirm that this was actually his script.

This version of the screenplay is 127 pages in length, and can be found right here. There's no telling how different the Landis Power Rangers was from the final product, because the movie has yet to be seen.

Power Rangers is set to land in theaters on March 24, 2017.
