Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #11 Reveals That [Spoilers] Are Already On Earth

There was a bevy of surprises to be found within Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #11, but one of the bigger ones had to do with the Ranger's Zords, which in this dimension are anything but in prime condition.

Spoilers incoming for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #11, so you've been warned.

When Tommy and Billy head to the spot their headquarters used to be, they happen upon their Zords. While the damage is substantial, the major revelation here is that these Zords don't appear like the one's fans are used to seeing in the series. Longtime franchise fans you might recognize the designs, as they appear to be the Ranger's Thunderzords.

The Thunderzords are more powerful versions of the original Dinozords. The group included the Red Dragon Thunderzord, Unicorn Thunderzord, Lion Thunderzord, Griffin Thunderzord, and Firebird Thunderzord. They combine to form the Thunder Megazord, but even these more powerful versions fell to Lord Drakkon and Rita Repulsa in this universe.

Writer Kyle Higgins spoke to ComicBook.com about the Zords, and when asked if these were, in fact, the Thunderzords fans know he replied with an emphatic "yes!" He was also asked if these are just this dimension's version of the Zords, of if what happened here required more power than the original Zords were capable of.

"It's a timeline that's progressed past some of the original Zords, yeah. That said, this is an alternate timeline. So, a lot of things-- including the Zords-- went down differently here. "
