This Power Rangers Fan Film Is A Lightspeed Rescue Fan's Dream

If you're a fan of Power Rangers: Lightspeed Rescue, Chris Cantada's latest fan film will have you all sorts of giddy.

For Cantada's latest, he joined up with Lightspeed Rescue's very own Pink Ranger Alison MacInnis, who played Dana in the fan-favorite series. It turns out that she needs some help remembering her morphing sequence, and luckily Cantada is there to help.

At least, that's what she says, though it eventually becomes apparent that something else is at play here. Cantada tries to show her the morphing sequence a few times, but she's just not getting it. That prompts him to borrow her morpher and execute the full sequence, and, well, let's just say Cantada's nephew is pretty skilled at playing jokes.

Lightspeed Rescue fans get two fantastic surprises though by film's end. MacInnis is joined by her onscreen brother Ryan, played by Rhett Fisher. The two perform their morphs side by side, and understandably Cantada loses his mind. Things get even better though when Captain Mitchell, the pair's onscreen father, shows up for the occasion.

Cantada probably doesn't remember much after that, being that he quickly faints. Can't really blame him though, can you?

You can watch the film Lightspeed Lesson in the video above, and more of Chris Cantada's work can be found on his Youtube page.

Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue aired in 2000 and is the eighth season of Power Rangers. Lightspeed Rescue is adapted from Kyukyu Sentai GoGoFive, its Super Sentai predecessor, though GoGoFive is actually the 23rd season of Super Sentai.

The show took place in the city of Mariner Bay, California, which is discovered to have been built on top of a demon burial ground. To keep them from taking over Captain Mitchell recruits a team under the name Lightspeed consisting of 4 skilled civilians and his daughter, Dana. They are eventually joined by Ryan, who is also Captain Michell's son.

Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue stars Sean Cw Johnson (Carter/Red Ranger), Michael Chaturantabut (Chad/Blue Ranger), Keith Robinson (Joel/Green Ranger), Sasha Williams (Kelsey/Yellow), Alison Macinnis (Dana/Pink Ranger), Rhett Fisher (Ryan/Titanium Ranger), and Ron Rogge as Captain William Mitchell.

The newest season of Power Rangers, Power Rangers Ninja Steel, currently airs on Nickelodeon on Saturdays at 9 am.
