Power Rangers: Someone Already Created Rita Repulsa's New Costume As Cosplay

The Power Rangers movie isn't even out yet, but its geek culture influence is already being felt!

Geek girl / cosplayer model Maxine Miles felt inspired by the look of Elizabeth Banks' version of Rita Replusa in the upcoming Power Rangers movie reboot and created the following cosplay based on her unique (and more "alien") look.


A trip to any Comic-Con will tell you just how fast fans can create cosplay out of new TV, movie, or comic book designs - spoiler: as fast as the eye can see, and the hands construct.

Recently, cosplay based on films like Suicide Squad, Batman v Superman, Captain America: Civil War, and even video games like Overwatch have been big new cosplay trends along the 'Con circuit. With 2017 bringing perhaps the biggest lineup of big geek culture blockbuster films, TV shows and games ever, the potential for great new cosplay (like the above) is limitless.
